About ProCare Direct Access

Direct access to mental health care for veterans and first responders.

Psychiatric and mental health care

Our Mission

We are dedicated to delivering compassionate, personalized psychiatric and mental health care to those who serve and protect.

Our commitment extends to military personnel—including Active Duty Service Members, Reservists, National Guard, and Military Retirees—as well as first responders in law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical services.

We strive to support the mental well-being of these brave individuals through exceptional, tailored care.

Our Story

Built by veterans, for veterans.

ProCare Direct Access was founded to close a critical gap in mental health and disability support for those who serve. After years working within military and VA systems, our founders saw how difficult it could be to access timely, compassionate, and clinically credible care. Too many service members and first responders were left waiting, misunderstood, or forced to navigate layers of red tape to get the help they deserved.

We created ProCare to change that.

Our Direct Access model removes the barriers — no insurance, no waitlists, no outside contractors. Just confidential, trauma-informed care from clinicians who have walked in your boots.

Here, veterans evaluate veterans. Every evaluation, treatment plan, and report is handled by licensed psychiatric and medical professionals with firsthand military experience and the authority to complete all documentation in-house — from diagnosis to DBQs and Nexus letters.

At ProCare Direct Access, we combine clinical authority, military understanding, and compassionate care to make sure those who serve never have to carry the weight alone.

Jesús de Luna, PMHNP-BC, Major, U.S. Army

Major Jesús De Luna, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience treating complex psychiatric conditions, specializing in military medicine, combat-related PTSD, airborne and battlefield injuries, and service-connected behavioral health conditions.

He proudly served 23 years in the U.S. Army, beginning his career as an infantryman before transitioning into military medicine as a psychiatric officer. During his assignment at Fort Sam Houston under BAMC, he completed hundreds of comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and conducted Medical Evaluation Boards (MEBs) for active-duty service members building deep expertise in documenting service-connected conditions.

As both a veteran and a former VA patient, he has personally experienced the barriers, delays, and frustrations of navigating the VA disability system. After witnessing countless veterans struggle or giving up on their claims, he founded ProCare Direct Access to close the gaps he once faced.

His mission is simple: To provide veterans, service members, and first responders with the expert clinical care and VA disability support they truly deserve.

Jyoti Kc, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

Jyoti Kc, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s most difficult challenges. At ProCare Direct Access, she provides trauma-informed care tailored to veterans, military members, and first responders, with a focus on PTSD, medication management, and long-term wellness.

Her goal is to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free space where patients feel empowered to take control of their mental health and move forward with strength and support.

As a former U.S. Army Reserve Officer, she developed the discipline, resilience, and sense of purpose that continue to guide her work today. This experience taught her what it means to lead through adversity, serve with integrity, and recognize the often-unseen toll that high-stress roles can take—particularly on mental health. These experiences shaped her deep commitment to supporting those who serve and have served.
